Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress Plot:

It all started a long time ago when a virus infected people and turned them into kabane undead creatures. Due to this, civilizations’ way of living shifted from normal cities into fortress-like stations covered from all the ends which gave protection from Kabane.

To transport things from other stations, people used steam locomotives in a safe manner. But on one unlucky day, a train got hijacked by some kabane and crashed in the Aragane station. This caused a big blood bath of people getting bitten by kabane. Ikoma also got infected by kabane but stopped the infection from getting into his mind and controlled it.

This incident of getting bitten resulted in Ikoma getting some super abilities. With the help of his bold gun and abilities, he was now able to defeat the kabane swiftly. As survivors left the destroyed Aragane station in train, Ikoma discovers another super ability person Mumei in the way.

Successfully able to survive from Aragane station, they set train towards any other safe stations for shelter. But in the mid of journey, they gets attacked by a group of powerful Kabane. Both Ikoma and Mumei comes forward to help everyone out to kill these kabane. With a strategic plan, both are able to defeat the kabane.

When going forward they encountered another big threat in Yashiro Station. Many survivors were still left in this station, which got rescued by them while passing. But they get attacked by a big black fog monster which appears to be many kabane together. Somehow defeating them, everyone gets out safely from Yashiro Station.

After everything, they finally make their stop at Shitori Station which is all secure and free of kabane. Everybody takes this time to relax from all the things they encountered from last few days. Ikoma promises Mumei during a conversation that he will give his best to turn her into human again.

If there is ever going to be a Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress season 2, as a prediction the plot for the anime may continue after the events of “The Battle of Unato”. It is logically accurate to go from there and then build a story forward. There is a big potential in the story of anime which could make season 2 huge success if it ever comes.

Ikoma is a young man who work as a technician in Aragane station. Living happily working along with his best friend Takumi. Mumei

Mumei is a innocent looking girl who’s friendly in her normal state but when she turns into a Kabaneri her abilities are off the roof. She uses her blades to kill the kabane whenever encountered. But when she fights for a long time, her powers tends to get low which makes her fall asleep. One of her goal in life is to become the strongest fighter.

Ayame

Ayame is the daughter of Kenshou Yomogawa who used to be the governor of Aragane Station. But after the fall of their station and losing her father to kabane, she became the responsible leader of the survivors. Her fighting skills are also very efficient when she uses steam powered bow.

Kurusu

Kurusu is a brave and honor man who is considered best swordman within all people. He serve as a personal bodyguard for Ayame and protecting her is Kurusu only life purpose. His true potential of sword is displayed when their train is attacked by many kabanes at night.
