Clannad is one of the most emotional love anime with story which can make anyone fell in love with Tomoya and Nagisa. You won’t even notice when all the episodes will be all completed. It’s based on visual novel Clannad which was developed by KEY Studio.
When Clannad was released on Oct 5 2007, it was loved by fans gradually. But it became a super hit when Clannad released their season 2. Its story of Tomoya with his high school stories was widely enjoyed by fans. All the main female characters play a big role throughout the series.
Clannad first episode aired on October 4, 2007 and last one on March 12, 2009. Few months later special OVA episode was released on July 1, 2009. All Total 44 episodes aired during 2007-09 which concludes 2 seasons.
Now Fans started to expect Clannad season 3 announcements. But it’s been 10+ years and no one knows about season 3 possibilities.
Clannad Season 3 Release Date:
Clannad is considered one of the best romantic anime because it teaches you many good things about life and values. Remember the episode when Tomoya, Nagisa, and all the other girls play baseball match which turns into a pretty exciting moment.
When Clannad season 1 released in 2007 it gained a lot of popularity among teens and romantic story lovers. Overall, it got some good and some bad reviews but managed to make a special place in the hearts of real fans.
Season 2 of Clannad took things to next level with its interesting story and heart touching soundtrack. It got not only positive reviews but managed to become one of the best romantic/drama series at that time.
Clannad story was concluded with 2 seasons but everyone’s hoping to see season 3. Fans even started a petition for Clannad season 3 long time ago. There is a possibility that the studio behind Clannad can come up with a brand new Clannad story representation for new era anime fans. We can only wait to hear for some news in the coming year 2022.
Clannad Season 3 Plot:
Tomoya Okazaki is considered one of the disobedient Student of high school and never really cared about regularly attending class. He is always slacking around with his friends around school. Ever since his mother died in a car accident he’s been living alone with his father and their relationship got bitter with time.
Due to all his past problems, he got more and more into foolish behavior for not regularly attending school. But things started to change when he met Nagisa and started to interact with her. Slowly after some time, he starts to change for the better and sorted all of his problems with the moral help of Nagisa.
Both Tomoya and Nagisa starts loving each other which eventually leads them to getting married at the time of graduation. They start living together and after some time, Nagisa get pregnant with his child. After giving birth to sweet little daughter Ushio, Nagisa dies with some illness.
Due to her wife’s death, Tomoya gets into depression and leave her daughter with their grandparents. After some time, world starts getting destroyed and Tomoya meets his daughter Ushio again within some strange place. He is then given one more chance to live life peacefully with his wife and daughter again.
For Clannad season 3 as I have predicted that it can be renewed with a new prespective story for new fan base. Anime Studio people can introduce us Clannad new version with better animation and unique style story progression.
In this new version of Clannad, we can expect Tomoya and Nagisa with unique character traits. In their high school life getting more into fun and drama. Even new characters could be introduced to spice up comedy to a next level.
Clannad Season 3 Characters:
If Clannad season 3 is coming then all the main characters will be there obviously. There may be a possibility for some new faces according to story progression.
Kotomi Ichinose
Kotomi is most brilliant student at school, even one of the japan’s top student. She likes to study alone silently in library away from classmates. Usually Kotomi is very shy and don’t like to interact with strangers but for some reason she feels very comfortable with Tomoya.
Kyou Fujibayashi
Kyou is very violent and protective towards her young sister Ryou. She never hesitates to throw books at someone who gets her angry. Kyou is very good friend of Tomoya which was later revealed that she liked him for long time.
Tomoyo Sakagami
Tomoyo is one of the top students of school and always wanted to become student council president due to his brother’s wish. She is very good with self-defense and never backs down from fights. Tomoyo is also very soft hearted and loves to take care of others.
Ryou Fujibayashi
Ryou is classmate and friend of Tomoya. She is popular among everyone due to her fortune telling hobby. Ryou is very shy in expressing her feelings. She always had a crush on Tomoya but never got the courage to tell him personally.
Tomoya Okazaki
Tomoya is a carefree type student in school and don’t have any interest in studies. He is kind hearted and helping person but never really shows his true-self to anyone. During his years at school he comes across many new friends i.e. Fuko, Ryou, Kyou, Tomoyo and his love of lifetime Nagisa.
Nagisa Furukawa
Nagisa is a very sweet, shy and innocent girl who always finds good in everyone. She is not so good with social interactions but try her best to become better. Nagisa loves eating food and whenever get nervous, she shouts food names to calm herself. She is a bit weird for some people but Tomoya loves her more than anything else.
Is Clannad season 3 coming anytime soon?
Currently in the industry, there is no news regarding Clannad season 3 or new version. For the time being, fans can only wait for minimum 1-2 years given the conditions.
All the fans are really eager to watch the new version of Clannad which indicates that if they come up with something for their loyal fans, it will definitely become hit like season 2.
