Overlord season 4 is finally announced by maruyama kugane (Light novel writer) in a tweet which indicates that season 4 production is in progress. In terms of release date, fans can expect something by fall 2021 or early 2022.

Another good announcement was also revealed by tweet that Overlord new movie is also getting developed which will include Holy Kingdom arc. Its release date can be predicted for 2022.
What is Overlord Plot till season 4?
Season 1:
One day Suzuki Satoru a normal man from Japan plugs into YGGDRASIL a VR game for last time before getting shut down permanently and gets stuck as Ainz character into fantasy world forever.
Ainz Ooal Gown one of the most powerful and fearless character who is the ruler of Great Tomb of Nazarick. Everyone starts to act like normal humans not NPC’s and everything becomes like real life. To know more about his situation, Ainz try to explore more about this new fantasy world.
After some digging into new places, he gathers information about new kingdoms and rivalry between them. To get into action Ainz disguise himself into Adventurer named Momon. After completing some high-end quests and saving kingdom from threat of Shalltear, Momon starts winning trust of everyone.
Season 2:
After incident of Shalltear mind control, Ainz insist everyone to gather more information about all other kingdoms and strengthen Nazarick forces for anything bad in future.
To increase the influence of Nazarick and strengthen army they declare war with lizardman tribe. After killing main members of tribe, Ainz offers them to join Nazarick forces and pledge their loyalty.
In Re-Estize Kingdom Sebas is on the mission to take down the Eight fingers Organization which is know for their dirty business of woman trafficking and drugs smuggling. When Ainz get to know about that situation, he orders demiurge to take care of eight fingers mess.
As per plan to win trust of kingdom Final battle is planned by Demiurge. In this battle Momon fights Demiurge to save kingdom from demons which results in making him trustworthy adventurer of kingdom.
Season 3:
Finally, Ainz is planning to increase Nazarick influence throughout all kingdoms. In meanwhile someone from Imperial Palace paid 3-4 group of adventurers to infiltrate the Tomb of Nazarick. When Ainz got this news, he decided to entertain these adventurers till their death.
Ainz sent Mare and Aura to warn Jircniv for never infiltrating into nazarick, otherwise it will be end of his empire. Jircniv out of curiosity to know more about Ainz true powers sets his course to Nazarick.
After seeing a glimpse of Ainz capabilities, Jircniv offers to form alliance and helping Nazarick to establish a country. Ainz accepts his offer with intentions of taking him over someday.
Jircniv prepares to wage battle between the Re-Estize Kingdom and Baharuth Empire. To help Baharuth Empire win, Ainz participates in the battle and easily kills thousands of armies with 1 spell causing a massacre.
With Ainz spells, battle between the Re-Estize Kingdom and Baharuth Empire ends. As only smart tactic E-Rental emperor give up his position to Ainz making him new ruler of Kingdom. Ainz renames the kingdom to “Sorcerer Kingdom” ruled by Ainz Ooal Gown.
Season 4:
Ainz running his Sorcerer Kingdom happily with help of all floor guardians. Jircniv might try to sabotage Ainz with help of some higher-level magic user to overpower him.
In need to expand Sorcerer Kingdom and gather more information, Ainz trying to cooperate with other kingdoms. Fans can expect new crazy ways Ainz is going to show his powers.
Overlord season 4 will follow most of story ideas from manga. For actual plot of season 4 it’s not officially announced by Madhouse yet.
Overlord Season 4 Characters:
Overlord season 4 will include all the previous characters from last seasons but fans can expect to see some new faces as the story of season 4 is going to reveal many secrets.
Ainz Ooal Gown: Ruler of Great Tomb of Nazarick and the most overpowering character from Overlord. Ainz is the main protagonist of anime who is in search of similar players like him trapped inside the game. In terms of appearance Ainz looks like undead skeleton of bones covered with a gown. He is very passionate about growing nazarick influence into other nations. All Floor guardians respect him with their life and Ainz thinks them as his family too.
Albedo: Albedo is the main supervisor of Nazarick and gives orders to all floor guardians if Ainz asks for anything. She thinks herself as imaginary wife of Ainz and someday she might give birth to heir of Nazarick. In terms of appearance, she wears a white dress which gives her goddess like looks. She is very loyal towards Ainz wishes and always acting all lovey dovey with him.
Sebas Tian: Head Butler of Great Tomb of Nazarick managing all others under his command. Sebas is not any floor guardian but his capabilities match the power level as floor guardians. In terms of appearance, he dresses as butler with black uniform. Sebas is humble with everyone he meets. He is very loyal to Ainz commands and follows them without any questions.
Demiurge: One of the most-deadly floor guardians of Nazarick. Demiurge is best with planning ahead of anything and commander of Defence. In terms of appearance, he wears a british suit and always acts in sophisticated manner. Demiurge loves to see people in pain as he is known as most cruelest demon. His loyalty is undeniably strong towards Nazarick.
Narberal Gamma: A very powerful doppelgänger battle Battle Maid and magic caster of Nazarick. Narberal is also one of adventurer partner of Momon. In terms of appearance, she wears a beautiful maid uniform which is covered with metal armour. She is not very fond of humans and does not hesitate to kill anyone who irritates her. She is very loyal to Ainz commands and welfare of Nazarick.
Shalltear Bloodfallen: She is very deadly vampire and one of most-toughest floor guardian of Nazarick. Shalltear is madly in love with Ainz which makes her biggest competitor of Albedo. In terms of appearance, she looks like a cute girl who’s harmless. She is very determined with her work ethics and does not tolerate any failure.
